I totally agree, talks about ethnicity is drifting away from the main aim of the forum which is rugby xvs

Just turned (44th minuteish) in and voila the biggest knock-on I've ever seen by Russian number 14. 50, 70(?) meter-run, steps, fendoffs, breakthroughs he somehow lost the ball forward directly in front of the goal line.

Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

FT 31 - 10 to Russia.

Both sides had their opportunities, I didn't feel Kenya was that far away from the Russians. In the end imo the ball handling is their biggest issue together with non-existent line-out defense. Nothing changed since the Germany game.

Davydov is a good player. It must be constantly called to the national team. He used to play only for the national team of the seven.

Yeah, that's weird. Apparently they are so far behind Georgia in the rankings that they couldn't lose any more points. And obviously Georgia couldnt gain any either.

Canada lost away. Hong Kong at home.

Couldn't watch much more, but this was a great move (apart from the drop).

At least Russia didn't get a half century over the Simbas as I had predicted. But the Simbas are playing really awful, especially in the breakdown area.

After this tournament, the Simbas could go back with a ranking of 32 from 26 when they started the tournament.

Chile and Russia on the field, russians leading 35-11 at halftime (evolution: 0-3, 7-3, 7-8, 14-8, 14-11, 21-11, 28-11, 35-11)

Russia leading 35-11 at the break. All six tries from first phase ball. Chile's set-piece is, well... Not good.
Finishes 42-11. Fairly straightforward for our B side.
We're in our own bit of Georgia-style limbo now. Way too good for this level, but a step behind the one up.

I wish they included a Asian team in this tournament, After all its been played in Asia, One each from Africa, South America, Europe and Asia would have been awesome

I wonder why they included Russia as a 2nd European team.. :D

Because Hong Kong is in which continent?

(And, technically, the majority of our players are Asian)

LOL.. Sarcasm lost

Well realistically there are only two Asians in this whole tournament and they arnt from the Kenyan, Russian or the Chilean sides.. :D

So called Asian Rugby is bit of a farce isn’t it

I agree, Russia needs better matches in June and Autumn. Luckily for your guys, most of them also played Challenge Cup which is a very good experience. But I also think it's something to do with your union that likes of Brazil and Belgium gets better matches than you.

In June? USA and Canada in 2016 and Nations Cup in 2017 don't look like bad matches.

I said June and Autumn, not sure how much helped Russia test team this Nations Cup and certainly is a better team than Belgium and Brazil who seems to get more attention from WR. But as I said, I think Russian Union performance has something to do with this.
